1967 Land Rover Series II 88 in Newport Beach, California

1967 Land Rover Series 2a 88” wagon, S/N C, Poppy Red with black interior.  2.25 liter 4 cylinder engine with 4 speed transmission and added overdrive.  While we do not know the history of this spectacular Series Rover it has certainly lived a glorious life.  There are telltale signs everywhere:  there’s 3 off-road Roundup plaques affixed to the firewall dating from ’94, ’98 and ’05 in Arizona and one eccentric owner used a marker to make notes on inside sheetmetal.  Jotting down truck specs on the roofs b-pillar and on the drivers seat base, writing down tools needed and a note to bring toilet paper!  A methodical and most likely insane gent.  She always starts right up and drives wonderfully with immense character and Englishness!  Seems like the wheels/tires and rock sliders are recent additions.  Patina that you can’t fake…it has taken more than 55 years to make this Rover what it is today…unrepeatable.
